How to Make Spicy Dips with SoCal Hot Red Sauce

 Introduction

SoCal Hot Sauce is a bold, flavorful condiment that captures the essence of Southern California's vibrant food culture. Known for its smoky heat and tangy vibe, it can be used in making spicy dips and is a great way to add palette appeasing flavors to your gatherings! Here are a few ways you can add a zesty kick to your dips with SoCal Hot Sauce: 

 

 1.The Spicy Guacamole: 

 Ingredients: Ripe avocados, 2 tbsp SoCal Hot Red Sauce (adjust to taste, small onion, finely chopped 1-2 cloves garlic, minced tomato, lemon juice, Salt and pepper to taste.

 Instructions: For Spicy Guacamole, mash 3 ripe avocados in a bowl. Add finely chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomato, and lime juice. Stir in 2 tbsp of SoCal Hot Red Sauce, adjusting to your spice preference. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh cilantro.

 Pairs well with: Tortilla chips, Nachos, Pita Bread, Sauteed veggies, or as a Taco topping. 

 

2.The Fiery Cream Cheese Dip:  

 Ingredients: Cream cheese softened sour cream, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, lime juice.

Instructions: To make the cream cheese dip, beat the cream cheese in a bowl until smooth. Then, mix in the sour cream, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, and lime juice. Add garlic powder and salt, stirring to combine. Next, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions for the extra crunch. 

 Pairs well with: Crackers, pretzels, or vegetable sticks.

 

3.The Sizzling Ranch Dip:

 Ingredients: Ranch dressing, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, Onion powder. Smoked paprika.

 Instructions: Simply mix together ranch dressing, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt in a bowl. Stir until all ingredients are well combined. For the best flavors, chill the dip for 15-30 minutes to allow the spices to meld together to enhance the flavor.

 Pairs well with: Crispy veggies, Toasties, Bruschetta's or chicken wings.

 

4.The Tangy Yogurt Dip:

 Ingredients: Plain Greek yogurt, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, lemon juice, black pepper, smoked paprika, and herbs of your choice.   

 Instructions: To make a spicy yogurt dip, combine Greek yogurt, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, lemon juice, and smoked paprika in a bowl. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Add salt to taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. 

 Pairs well with: It goes great in a vegetable mezze be it Carrot sticks, cucumber slices, or celery.

 

5.The Zesty Bean Dip: 

Ingredients: 1 can Refried beans (or black beans, mashed), SoCal Hot Red Sauce, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, Taco herb seasoning (optional) and some Chopped green onions for garnishing.

 Instructions: Heat the refried beans in a pot over low heat, stirring it in taco herb seasoning if desired. Once the beans are warm, mix in 1 tablespoon of SoCal Hot Red Sauce to make it extra zesty. Spread the bean mixture evenly in the bottom of a serving dish, then top with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and the remaining SoCal Hot Red Sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions for added flavor and crispiness.

Pairs well with: Tortilla and pita chips or simply put in as a highlight on your charcuterie board.

 

6. The Savoury Spinach & Artichoke Dip

Ingredients: 1 can of artichoke hearts, (drained and chopped), Spinach, 2 tbsp SoCal Hot Red Sauce, Cream cheese, sour cream, grated Parmesan cheese, shredded Mozzarella cheese, garlic powder.

 Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, and garlic powder, stirring until smooth. Next, fold in the chopped artichoke hearts, spinach, and SoCal Hot Red Sauce for a spicy kick. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden on top.

7.The Spicy Hummus Dip:

 Ingredients: Chickpeas drained and rinsed, Tahini, 2 tbsp SoCal Hot Red Sauce (adjust to taste), Lemon juice, garlic clove(minced), 2 tbsp olive oil, Paprika to garnish.

 Instructions: To make a spicy hummus, combine chickpeas, tahini, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and salt in a food processor. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Taste the hummus and adjust the heat by adding more SoCal Hot Red Sauce if you prefer it spicier. Once blended to your desired consistency, garnish with Cilantro.

 8. The Spicy Cilantro Lime Yogurt Dip

 Ingredients:  Plain Greek yogurt, 2 tbsp SoCal Hot Red Sauce, Lime juice, fresh chopped cilantro, garlic powder. 

Instructions: To make a hot & spicy yogurt dip, combine Greek yogurt, SoCal Hot Red Sauce, lime juice, and garlic powder in a bowl. Stir in freshly chopped cilantro for an added burst of flavor. Taste the dip and adjust the seasoning by adding salt as needed.
